Study of Offshore Aquaculture as a Market for Ocean Renewable Energy

Ocean Energy Systems (OES) is hosting a public webinar from 12:00 – 1:00pm PDT (7:00 – 8:00pm UTC) on 26 April 2022. This webinar will provide an overview of the findings in the Study on Offshore Aquaculture as a Market for Ocean Renewable Energy, which will be published by OES in April. The report provides an overview of ORE technologies and their applicability to offshore aquaculture, details available information on energy demands of aquaculture operations, highlights case studies of research and projects conducted on co-location of these industries and lessons learned, discusses opportunities and challenges for co-location, and offers recommendations to advance these industries.

This report produced by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre, CSIRO, and Ocean Pixel Pte. Ltd. for the International Energy Agency OES and will be available via OES prior to the webinar.
